Finalists for TWO awards!

2019 certainly kicked off with a bang for us, here at Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery.

We’re absolutely delighted that we were announced as finalists for two fantastic awards – The Federation of Small Businesses Awards, and the Cumbria Family Business Awards 2019.

Despite not taking home the winning trophy, we’re still completely chuffed to bits to have reached the final stages.

The first awards, The Federation of Small Businesses, took place in January at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester, where we were nominated for ‘Family Business of the Year’.

The second nomination was for ‘Food and Drink Producers’ at the Cumbria Family Business Awards in March.

Head Judge Graham Lamont, of Lamont Pridmore, said: “I would like to personally thank all the family businesses who entered. As a family business owner myself, I appreciate the challenges and rewards that come from working with family and understand how much time and effort goes into application processes such as these.

“Following a record number of applications, there were some extremely difficult decisions to make and the quality of Cumbrian family businesses really shone through. We feel our selection represents the diversity and accomplishments of family businesses in the region. All of the finalists should feel extremely proud as they have beaten off some stiff competition to win their place.”

We had a lovely time at the event, held at Low Wood Bay in Windermere, and hosted by the Hairy Bikers, Dave Myers and Si King.
